Main Research Orientation, Advantages or Special Services:

(i) Preparation of multifunctional biomaterials for tissue regeneration and R&D for transformation into preclinical medical devices, including regeneration of various tissues such as esophagus, skin, cartilage and nerves;

(ii)  Research in bone biology, bone tissue engineering regeneration and development of orthopaedic related medical devices;

(iii) Design and configuration of the surface interface of antimicrobial multifunctional biomaterials, research on the surface interface protein adhesion behavior and its application to the development of medical devices related to the development of skin perfection and regeneration.

Landmark Team Achievements

The team has been engaged in development of basic and applied research related to biomedical engineering, regenerative medicine and other life sciences for a long period of time. The team has a wealth of research achievements, and has been awarded the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Youth) Project for four projects, the Outstanding Young Team Project of Zhejiang Province, the Qianjiang Talent Project of Zhejiang Province (Provincial Natural Fund Project) and the Key Project of Ningbo Science and Technology Innovation 2025, the Social Development Project, the Natural Science Foundation Project as well as a number of collaborative projects with affiliated hospitals, with a total research funding of over RMB 11 million. The team has published over 100 papers in high-level international and domestic core journals related to this field and applied for over 20 invention patents, 13 of which have been granted. The team has been awarded the Ningbo Science and Technology Progress Award (Second Prize) and Zhejiang Science and Technology Award (Second and Third Prizes), etc.
