He has been engaged in the research of key technologies for the prevention and control of emerging infectious diseases for a long period of time. He has published over 40 academic papers on renowned journals at home and abroad, such asScience, Clin Infect Dis, Emerg Infect Dis, J Infect Dis, PloS Negl Trop Dis, Chinese Journal of Preventive MedicineandChinese Journal of Epidemiology. He has also translated, edited and co-edited over 10 monographs and textbooks, and has been awarded two Second Prizes (ranking first and second) and three Third Prizes (ranked first with two, and second with one) for Science and Technology Progress at provincial and ministerial levels, as well as over 10 invention patents.
As an initiator of One Health in China and a key member of the international One Health community, he has established the first One Health Research Center in China and held two influential One Health International Forums (2014 and 2019). As one of the applicants, preparatory and executive chairmen, he has organized the 697thXiangshan Scientific Session on the theme of "One Health and Human Health" and reached four important agreements.
