Venue: Multipurpose Lecture Hall, Wang Changlai Building
Speaker: Xu Shujun
Introduction of Speaker: Xu Shujun, female, Doctor, professor of Ningbo University School of Medicine, director of Experimental Animal Center of Ningbo University, visiting scholar of the Department of Molecular and Cellular Physiology of Stanford Medical School. Member of Zhejiang Society for Neuroscience, member of Committee of Anti-aging, China Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics, member of US Society for Neuroscience, Chinese Neuroscience Society and Chinese Association for Physiological Sciences. In recent years, Xu has been engaged in the research of neuroscience. Relevant research results have won six provincial and municipal awards for scientific research achievements, of which “the early pathological changes of Alzheimer’s disease and the intervention effect of small molecular compounds” won the second prize of Award for Science and Technology Progress in Ningbo in 2020. Xu has published more than 40 high-level papers, including those published in Molecular Neurobiology, hippocampus, Journal of Alzheimers Disease, and Frontiers in Aging Neuroscience. The published papers were cited by articles in international renowned journals such as Trends in Neurosciences, Progress in Lipid Research, and Neurobiology of Disease. Xu serves as the editorial board member of Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics, and is the reader of this journal and other journals such as Molecular Neurobiology, Neuroscience Bulletin, and Journal of Alzheimers Disease. In August 2020, Xu, as the guest editor of the journal Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics, presided over the special issue on traditional Chinese medicine and inflammation. Xu has successively presided over two National Natural Science Foundation of China, three Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province, three Municipal Natural Science Foundation, one municipal public welfare key project, one Zhejiang Provincial Education Department Project, and one Municipal Talent Project (Leading and Top Talents).
