On the morning of February 28th, Vice President Zhao Quanjun led a delegation of members from the (University) CPC Office, Department of Development Regulations, Office of Academic Affairs, Graduate School, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Human Resources, Office of Planning and Construction, and relevant leaders of the medical class to investigate the construction progress of the NBU Health Science Center. All the members of the Party & Government Affairs, members of the CPC Commission of the NBU Health Science Center, as well as heads from its affiliated school, platform management center and the NBU Laboratory Animal Center attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Liu Yu, Executive Director of the NBU Health Science Center, reported on the mid and long-term development plan for medical education of Ningbo University and the construction progress of “dual base”. Other participants from the NBU Health Science Center made supplementary explanations on the development plan and layout of headquarter buildings construction of the “dual base”. Heads of relevant functional departments made in-depth exchanges and discussions on the topics and put forward opinions and suggestions on the existing problems and places to be improved in the planning.
Zhao Quanjun fully affirmed the efforts and substantial progress made by all functional departments and the NBU Health Science Center, and put forward specific requirements for formulating the mid and long-term development plan of medical education and dual base construction of the NBU Health Science Center, holding that the positioning objectives of the development plan should meet expectations of Ningbo Municipal Party Committee and Government and the educational goals of Ningbo University, and should be positive and attractive enough. He also gave detailed instructions on the contents to be optimized and supplemented for the planning. As for the “dual base” construction of the NBU Health Science Center, he required all relevant functional departments and the NBU Health Science Center to, firstly, conduct in-depth research, deep exchanges and detailed planning; secondly, arrange distances appropriately and leave vacancies; thirdly, combine aesthetic value with practical value, with the latter as the main focus; fourthly, integrate main functions and auxiliary functions for integral systems and safety. He called on everyone to enhance political awareness, take the initiative, build consensus, form synergies, follow the schedule closely, conduct open education, redouble their efforts and enhance the sense of opportunity and responsibility, so as to jointly promote the planning of the NBU Health Science Center and the headquarter buildings construction of the “dual base”, thus making greater contributions to the development of the medical education of Ningbo University and the smooth implementation of the “Medical Height” plan of Ningbo.
